I Would Never Leave Without Reporting the Incident!

Now or Never

One thing I would never do after a slip and fall is, leave the scene without reporting the incident. Yes, slipping and falling is embarrassing, but if you leave the scene without making a record of your presence on the property and your injury, you may have a difficult time proving it later. So always report the incident.

Now, that doesn't mean having a long conversation or debating what happened. It just means informing the property owner or manager that you were injured at a specific place, let's say aisle 9, because of a hazard on the property, say a clear liquid puddling near the freezer.
